Mr. Lorenzo Righi, historical owner and icon of this vinegar factory, chose a name for his brand that is very popular among the citizens of Modena. “La Secchia”, which means the bucket, takes its name from an epic poem by the Modenese author Alessandro Tassoni, which is about a fight between the Italian cities of Modena and Bologna over the possession of a wooden bucket.
